Another propaganda source I looked into was Propaganda and Mass Persuasion, which was written by a collective of authors. This particular book provides an introduction to propaganda and it's changing nature. It looks at specific practitioners, and the impact propaganda has made on the past five centuries of world history. The book goes as far back to the evolution of propaganda from the era of printed handbills to computer generated work.
“The Cold War had major implications for
art, emphasizing the polarity between the free Western model of high cultured,
formalist and abstract art against the Soviet model, which was figurative and
restrictive.” Cooper, 2003, pg. 23
This quote I have used argues the difference between the propaganda from the east and the west. The two sides had very different techniques and tactics and to argue this I have used a professional's opinion to back my side.
