OUGD601 - Dissertation Feedback

After reviewing the essay plan and discussing research with a tutor, the feedback that was given helped to strengthen the essay. There was always the concern that the essay would focus too much on film and not enough on graphic design. The areas that look into film need to back up the relevance to the relationship between graphic design and art direction.

The question title itself is too wordy and the introduction can do with a little more further exploration into all the points this essay has made. Having a more tuned question that is making a point as opposed to a comparison it will make the essay more refined. It will also benefit the essay to explain why it is important to talk about the relationship between the two. It might benefit to talk about how graphic design is influenced by film, vice versa, or how they influence each other.

Each point that was made needs more clarification. There is need to back up each exploration with  more evidence. Each exploration needs to be backed up with a little more research. Each point made needs to be explained and using research as evidence of why I am making this point.

The conclusion needs editing to provide a summary of every point that has been made throughout the essay, not being shy to go into detail at the research that was made. Having a more solid and structured conclusion will help to fine tune the rest of the essay and produce a final question title.
